Welcome Home.

I’m Kirin — a devoted student and teacher of Bhakti Yoga, noticing what there is to notice, and dancing this life in love, in reverence, in gratitude, in play, and in practice .

I’m so glad you’re here.

Why Powered by Practice?

If you asked me how I spend my moments, I'd tell you:

in practice.

For a long time I thought of practice as something specific— a yoga practice on the mat, meditation on the cushion, an instrument in hand, the refining of a skill or a hobby..

I've now come to understand practice as something so much more expansive. It's less about what we're doing and more about how we're living. All it asks of us is presence.

Practice isn't about becoming a better version of ourselves. It's about becoming more available to the life we're already livingto feel it, tend to it, and meet it fully.

I practice staying connected to my breath, listening to my body, choosing‍ ‍love, gratitude, curiosity, compassion, play, and living wide awake.

—Sometimes these practices happen on the mat, absolutely! ..And sometimes on the dance floor, or at the ocean's edge, on a trail, while making art, sitting around a table with people I love, embraced in a hug, in grief, in laughter, or in the quiet noticing of something small and miraculous.

This is the invitation behind Powered by Practice: to get curious about what wakes you up, what makes you feel alive, and what connects you to yourself, to one another, and to something greater. Maybe it's yoga. Maybe it's something entirely your own.

May my offerings be a safe place to explore what awakens you, and inspire you to cultivate a devoted practice of returning, again and again.

Imperfectly. Wholeheartedly.
